Respondus Monitor

Welcome to this video on Respondus
Monitor. Respondus Monitor works with a student’s camera that’s built into their
laptop and monitors students as they take a test, later flagging any
suspicious activity such as cell phone use or talking to somebody. This added
feature of respondus lockdown is particularly useful when students are
taking a test off-campus. This video will now show you how to set up respondus
monitor and how to access the results. We will now go down to the control panel
and we will access respondus lockdown browser and we will locate the tests
where we want to apply respondus lockdown browser and monitor, we’ll go to
settings and we will check off this radio button, we will scroll down to the
next section for respondus monitor, selecting that radio button, clicking
through this message and then we come down to the startup sequence. You can
control what students see and are required to do before they take the test
such as whether they will be required to use their computers camera to take a
photo or to show their ID etc once these settings are to your satisfaction click
on save and close. Now a test is set up for both lockdown browser and respondus
monitor. Once students have taken a test, return to the test, click on class
results; you’ll see in this example, that one of the students has been flagged for
high review priority and this is because a cell phone was being used during the
test. So that’s a quick overview of respondus monitor.
