PLC | CX Programmer RTC (Real Time Clock) Using DATE Comparison Instruction To Control Time

okay guys today I will explain how to use RTC (real time clock) in PLC CX Programmer to control ON/OFF output by certain time lets start it, okay first, open your CX Programmer then, create new project in here I will use CP1l PLC type you can use other PLC type, but make sure it support clock or date sorry, my PC is slow to start programming RTC, you can read information in HELP Section so, you can know detailed information how to implement RTC there is NO RTC instruction/function in CX Programmer, but there is alternative way… we use DATE instruction okay, lets start it open the HELP section in here you can read all detailed information of Time/Date Comparison i will scroll down to Example this is the syntax this is the Flags, you can use Equal (=), Greater (>), Less(=7) so lets, try another example we want to make the the output turn ON, when current time is 7 AM to 10 AM use same step, but with different address source 2 sorry, mistake so, that is how to use RTC is CX programmer but we still have one problem… the value that we set manually in memory address is temporary so when we close CX Programmer, the value is back to 0 again lets try simulate again, after we close CX Programmer see, the ouput is remain OFF even after 7 AM lets see the problem see, the value that we have already manually set is back to 0 again after we close CX Programmer so how to solve this problem? okay, now i will use another tutorial how to insert/set value in memory address automatically i will use MOV instruction first i use P_On contact, to activated MOV instruction so here is the syntax MOV [value_in_hex] [address] if you want to know more, you can read HELP section again since hour address is D100+1 so we just set D101=7 next, set address D111 to 10 lets try simulate again okay, now the memory is set automatically when we start simulate program and RTC is back to work again, yes ^_^ lets try close CX Programmer now after we close, the value is set automatically so, the problem is solved okay, thanks for watching dont forget to subscribe
