How to Remove the Rear Speakers | HP ENVY x360 13-ag0000 Convertible PC


Before you begin: Remove the base enclosure. Removal: Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board. IMPORTANT: Make careful note of the routing of rear speaker, webcam, wireless antenna, and display panel cables for later replacement. Peel back the retention tape, use minimal force to lift the locking bar up on the webcam cable ZIF connector, and disconnect the webcam cable from the system board. Remove the webcam cable from the routing channel that secures it to the top cover. Peel back the retention tape, use minimal force to lift the locking bar up on the display panel cable ZIF connector, and disconnect the display panel cable from the system board. Remove the display panel cable from the routing channel that secures it to the top cover. Disconnect the rear speaker cable from its connector on the system board. Remove the rear speaker cable from the routing channel on the top cover. Lift the rear speakers off of the alignment pins on the top cover and remove. IMPORTANT: When replacing the rear speakers, ensure the four rubber screw gaskets are properly installed. Reverse this procedure to install the rear speakers.
