Composition is the task of touching the sound. So speakers are the most important. Composers use monitor speakers instead of pc speakers. Monitor speakers have better performance than regular speakers and sound even frequencies from low to high. The monitor speaker allows you to hear the sound as it is. More precise music work can be done. I have arranged five things to choose a monitor speaker. 1. Inches Before purchasing a monitor speaker, you need to consider the space. If it’s a non-home studio, you can use a speaker with an 8-inch woofer, but if it’s an apartment, the bass spreads, and a complaint comes in from the neighbor. At home, a 5 inch speaker is adequate. However, if the space is narrower, you may have to use a few inches of speaker because the bass resonates. In this case, I recommend monitor headphones. 2. Input If the output of the audio interface has an unbalanced rca jack, the input of the speaker must also have an rca jack. Likewise, if the output of the audio interface has a balanced trs or xlr jack, the input of the speaker must also have an xlr or trs jack. 3. Active speaker There is usually an amplifier inside the monitor to amplify the sound. These speakers are called active speakers. The passive speaker must have a separate external amplifier. So avoid it. 4. Duct The hole in the speaker for low sound is called a duct. If it is on the front of the speaker, it does not resonate with the bass even if it is close to the rear wall. 5. Sound quality In fact, the most important thing is sound quality. It ‘s best to go to the speaker’ s store and listen to them. Or choose a speaker that people use a lot. So it’s easy to sell it back as a used item later. If you bought a speaker, where should you put it? The sound differs depending on where you place the two speakers. You should put it in the right place. Place them symmetrically on the left and right sides of the computer. The front and back length should be longer than left and right. Place the distance from the wall as far as possible so that the bass does not resonate. Make sure your position and the position of the two speakers are in equilateral triangle. Turn the front of the speaker toward me. Adjust the height of the speaker so that when you are seated in your chair, your ears are equal to the height of the tweeter. Use speaker mat or heavy stones to prevent the desk from resonating. If a particular frequency resonates strongly, use a base trap or absorbing material. Next time I’ll talk about the microphone.
